I recently came across a detailed DIY article on creating a coffee can lantern, and thought it was a great opportunity to see one’s design in a different, ahem, light. So I imagined what I might like to see flickering and dancing at 10 pm at night, and this is what I saw. I’m looking forward to cutting into the tin and seeing this bird fly a little. 🙂

The design is awesome, and so is the link. We’ve been looking for lanterns and they’re so expensive! So it may be time to start doing some DIY! (If only we drank coffee).
Paul, I’m certain that one of your coffee loving neighbors will help you out!
I dunno, doesn’t everyone use those single serving coffee makers these days? What lame lamps you could make with those!
I’m a coffee snob – most of my coffee comes in those $8 bags. Those wouldn’t work, but my mom drinks the cheap stuff in big, fat cans. 🙂
