So my good friend and sometime collaborator, Craig Smith, asked me to look through my fonts to see what I thought might be a good match for his soon-to-be-released CD of electronica. He passed me the existing cover art and notes, and I gathered from the work and from his description that he was looking for something dark, edgy, and crisp. I gave him a list of about 12 fonts as a sample, and we whittled it down to this set of five. I was very happy to be asked, and I love the idea that I might be mentioned in his notes. Thanks for reaching out Craig, and congratulations on the project!

Really nice picks. I love building font charts with my clients the same way.
I start with a huge list and whittle it down to something I can talk with them about.
It’s a great way to find out what directions they want to go in with the rest of the design, I find. Thanks for the comment!
are you just constantly looking for new fonts? good choices for the style of music.
I try to keep my installed fonts to a minimum, but I try to keep some really great ones around too. 🙂 Thanks for the kind words.
Among the five shown, telegrafico is on the one that most telegraphs “electronica” to me, mostly because of the “M”s and “V”s.
