A testimonial regarding classes at Princeton Public Library

I attended your presentation on the Raspberry Pi Wednesday last week at the Princeton Public Library. The week before I attended your presentation on Arduino.

I just wanted to say thank you. I am familiar with IT concepts (I manage servers and automation tools in my job) and I had heard about Arduino and the RPi but wanted to see the devices for real and get an introduction to the products that goes beyond PR. Not only was the technical content of your presentations interesting, but you made it lively and accessible…

But above all, what I remember of these two presentations is your input outside the geeky stuff and tech for tech’s sake that is sometimes the lot of enthusiasts explaining “cool gadgets”. Your approach mentioning creativity, learning, sharing, getting away (if only for a short while) from consumerism, and the use of technology as (only) a means to express one’s creativity was very refreshing.
