I saw an image of two rings recently that used waveforms of the wearers saying the words “I do” as cutouts on the rings, and it inspired me to do a sketch of a waveform of me saying the word “open” which I have thought about as a tattoo. To make this sketch, I started by recording the word in Audacity, doing a screen cap of the user interface with the waveform, bringing it into Inkscape, doing a trace on the image, and adding some skin and ink tones, with a slight burn vignette.

Hi my name is Ray. I absolutely love this piece and I was wondering if I could commission you to do one similarly to this one. The piece itself would be for a tattoo. Please contact me via email or twitter @RaymondGlomgold and let me know either way if this is at all possible.
Hi, Ray! I’d be delighted to work with you to make this happen. I sent you a reply by email.

Hi, Gustavo! I’m so happy you like it. I’m happy to share the large image. Would you be interested in a custom design of your voice saying something? Contact me at john@lemasney.com and in the meantime I’ll email you the large image.
