So using the same technique that I used for a self-portrait a few sketches back, I decided to do a portrait of one of my favorite songwriters, singers and musicians, Thom Yorke, most famously of Radiohead. Starting with a well-known photograph of Thom, I worked in with various brushes, using samples of color from the photo itself. Holding my Wacom stylus in my right hand, I switched back and forth between sample (O) and paintbrush (P) to first choose a color from an area, then paint into that area with that color. A very fun technique.
