This is a love letter to libraries everywhere for all they offer: information about the mechanical world, music and audio media, videos and movies, information about all aspects of life and living things, the histories of the sciences, fun and insightful programming, and other keys to knowledge and intelligence. They are wonderful, and I love them.

I love that there’s not actually a book in this love letter! (i think people get that we do books already.) but why so many leaves? 🙂
It’s because I love fall, leaves, trees, and living things. Also, I think of libraries as learning places, and I think of trees as a common symbol of education. Fair?
Yeah, i can dig that. 🙂
Really like this image, with the different objects arranged to create a heart. Great way to convey the variety of subjects that you can learn about in a library. As a dad of 2 kids who love to read, I’ve re-discovered the joy of libraries (after too many years away). Cool to discover your blog, too. Neat to see another person doing the regular schedule of creating. I haven’t done the everyday schedule, though — I’ve been creating a t-shirt design, cartoon, and poem for 3 things a week. Good for you for keeping it up everyday. And the end is in sight! Good luck, and have fun!
I love your idea of mixing it up, content wise! Looking forward to seeing your stuff, and thanks for the comments. I’m going to do the same thing next year with another open source application, and while I love Inkscape, I’m looking forward to geeting to know something else just as intensely. 🙂
