So my friend Robert has been trying to get me into gaming. He alerted me to the fact that the gaming platform called Steam was coming to Mac OS a few months back, and they offered a free game called Portal as an incentive to get you to download and install the engine. I loved the game, a mix of strategy, first person play, and a manipulation of the physical world that is just amazing. One mission from the game involves having to travel with a weighted companion cube throughout the level, and without giving too much away, you end up having to do something horrible to it at the end of the level. Since it’s just a bunch of metal, you needn’t care so much, but many do. Robert asked me to do a sketch based on my feelings about this event in the game. So, here’s my note of apology to the weighted companion cube, with an acceptable excuse, I hope. 🙂

This sketch was a triumph.
I’m making a note here, huge success..
Can’t wait til 2 comes out.
GlaDOS would be proud of you. Can’t wait for 2 either! I hear there’s gonna be cake!
I downloaded the game a while ago, and was all excited to play it… but the two times I’ve tried to load it, its loaded the game at a 90 degree rotation. Down is right and up is left. Really weird. I’m thinking my copy got confused as it traveled from its home in cyberspace. It does look like a fun game to play though. Hopefully I can get that straightened out one of these days and actually give it a go!
Strange! I wonder if anyone else has had this issue? Aha! It looks like some people have: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/
