The Program: Determining and Reinforcing Organizational Branding for Libraries in Culture, Communications, and Social Media Efforts
John LeMasney will lead a discussion aimed at enhancing our awareness of how our libraries are interpreted as individual organizations and resources. Does it match our intended mission and outcomes? We can use cultural elements, communication methods, social media efforts, and interpersonal interactions with stakeholders to emphasize and underline what our libraries are and why they provide valuable benefits to their unique patronage. About the Speaker:
John LeMasney is a father who lives and works in and around Princeton, New Jersey. Currently the Manager of Educational Technology Training and Outreach at Princeton University, John worked from 1998-2011 at Rider University, in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, as the Manager of Technology Training. He was recently awarded a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership with honors from Rider University, and he also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture with honors from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. John is a designer, artist, writer, poet, technologist, consultant, open web advocate, and open source evangelist. He is most interested in helping people to use technology to make their lives, work, and world better. (http:///about/)
