I am always amazed at the control, grace and mastery of a martial artist. The control of the flow of energy and the beautiful way in which that control is visually displayed can be magical. I wanted to capture the fluidity and looseness of the internal self that I’ve heard talked about by martial artists; the need to be like water. I hope you like it.

Ooh, up near the top, it looks like coiled rope…a decent metaphor in martial arts!
Happy birthday by the way, and I hope the Princeton PL gig is going well, I wish I was close enough to pop in.
Thanks, Paul! — I talked about your work at my opening presentation to discuss the origins of the noodle piece. Thanks for the birthday wishes — it was a great one. I’m going to redo the audio slideshow and maybe you’ll get a chance to see it. Cheers.
I love this! I think it’s one of my favorites that you’ve done. My son is a huge fan of the show Avatar the Last Airbender and this capture’s the Avatar’s essence of energy flowing through him.
Thanks, Lori — upon several recommendations, I just added the series to my Netflix Watch Instantly queue. Thanks for the kind words, as always!
