Today’s sketch is an urban dwelling, a comfy corner home, a stacked abode. I was inspired to use the 3d box tool, which I must admit is not used very often by me. In the next few sketches, I’m going to try to focus a bit on this tool in order to see what it has to offer me and how it can extend my style.

It looks like there’s some kind of optical illusion going on here. It looks like the windows are off-kilter, but when I hold a piece of paper against it, the edges all line up. Maybe that pattern on the walls is doing it. I’ve been staring at it for a while.
Daniel that’s extremely perceptive! The 3d box tool uses really deep perspective lines. I used the 3d box tool for the box alone, but the windows, etc, I made by hand with the Bezier tool and some straight lines as guides. I kind of liked how the windows slight queerness played with the overall feel of the image. If everything was exactly precisely where it should be, it would likely be far less interesting, just like life. 😉 Thanks!
