I could not say it any better than this:

“A Seinfeld reference. Can be commonly used when you are angry, or also when someone is complaining about something trivial, as in:

Katy: “I don’t like my car because it only has two cup holders”
John: “These pretzels are making me thirsty.”

357 of 365 is the end of the line #Inkscape

In my office in my house, I’m still surrounded by the bottles, paraphernalia, glassware, and other memories of my time when I was actively beer blogging. I stopped blogging about beer for various reasons last year (the blog post on the topic is here) but I’m still reminded every time I sit down to work here that it was a big part of my life. In fact, the 365 sketches project was done in part to replace beer blogging with a healthier pursuit. Thanks to all of you for helping with that. I’m packing all the stuff up in the next few days, including my favorite bottle opener which I’ve depicted for you here.

356 of 365 is a self portrait with new glasses #Inkscape

Some of you may have seen me in person lately, but I can;t say the same of you. I’ve been diagnosed with rare pre-40 cataracts in both eyes that are slowly forming, but quickly making it hard to read. Surgery is outpatient and in my future, but the cataract needs to get to a certain point of opacity before it makes sense to operate. So, if you thought I was ignoring you, I wasn’t. I just didn’t recognize you through the cloudy formation in my eyes. So, for the first time in my life, I’m wearing glasses, which help but do not eliminate the problem. I like the glasses, but I hate the cataracts.

Thanks to my good friend Janie for the inspiration for this one. She wrote

“A giant, rough hewn old fashioned rope suspended out of nowhere with a giant knot on the bottom …”

Thanks, Janie!
