On work and ethics

A simple idea, but an important one. A million tragic movies couldn’t exist if everyone followed this one rule.

Act4SL
Act4SL

This is a series of wordmarks I’m working on to help brand a new venture called Act for School Libraries (Act4SL). I love the idea: advocacy for media expertise in school libraries so that transliteracy can be fostered in one of the most important places possible: school libraries. This is a work in progress, essentially just begun, and therefore has some roughness to it. That said, I love the directions that it is going in!

185 of 365 is an image of energy in #inkscape

Energy
Energy

I am always amazed at the control, grace and mastery of a martial artist. The control of the flow of energy and the beautiful way in which that control is visually displayed can be magical. I wanted to capture the fluidity and looseness of the internal self that I’ve heard talked about by martial artists; the need to be like water. I hope you like it.

Dan Wadlinger, a friend and co-worker at Rider University suggested this sketch:

Ok John, in honor of the many graduations, I want to request a graduation sketch. A graduated graduated cylinder. Basically a graduated cylinder with a mortar-board. And a smile.

Thanks for the suggestion, Dan. Here you go!
