A few things about me are consistently true. One is that I’m often late. The fact that this sketch is going out at 1 a.m. the day after its post date should give you some sign of this.

Just one definition offered at Urban Dictionary for “love tap” says “The (sometimes) gentle nudge of the car behind and/or in front of you that occurs in the process of good solo parallel parking.” I just thought you might like to see that illustrated.

So this really came out of the idea that I wanted to make a limo style tandem bike. I found an interesting, simple piece of bike clip art, and place a few of them together, wheel to wheel, and called it done. Then, like so many ‘finished’ things, I had a what if moment, where I wondered if I could get the bikes to line up in a circle. When I realized it was possible, and did it, I decided to make riders. Then, I thought it would be interesting to have two riders on each bike. Finally, I decided to fill in the central space with the jumper. Special thanks to the creators of the Parkour font.
