For lunch, I had a delicious veggie feast of eggplant rollatini, broccoli, and sautĂ©ed summer mix with water and a navel orange. For dinner, I had D’Angelo’s (Princeton, NJ) delicious grandma style pizza (a very thin take on Brooklyn style).

So today was a treat. I had an egg on panini bread over caramelized onions and fresh mozzarella for breakfast, with French-pressed French roast coffee, and for lunch I had naan pizza with garlic spinach, roasted red peppers, and onion. Somewhere in there I had some pan-fried Thai veggie dumplings too! A really delicious day.

On June 4th, 2012, I gave a long session on using Inkscape in-depth to the Long Island Library Regional Consortium. We discussed bitmap versus vector images, and introduced all of Inkscape’s main tools, then ran through recreating an illustration. Some feedback I got after the session included:
- Speaker has extraordinary knowledge
- Instructor was very open to answering questions and going over things multiple times
- Overall, very well done
- Very knowledgeable
- Hands-on with excellent answers to our (millions) of questions
- Very detailed instructor
- Excellent intro to new capabilities
- The instructional concept in using inkscape/graphic design (was a strength)
Photos of a fun day of cooking
Today I spent about an hour doing one of favorite activities: cooking. I had a delicious egg sandwich with a side of fresh-cut pan-fried frites for brunch for just about 300 calories, and a very tasty pizza with fresh dough, shredded mozzarella, caramelized onions, and diced tomatoes (3 of the mini pies you see for 600 calories). Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
