John Dere currently serves as the Youth Director for the Archdiocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church for the Eastern United States. He oversees youth programs for 22 parishes throughout the Archdiocese. John’s responsibilities include coordinating youth conventions, retreats, lock-ins, Bible studies, social events, managing a youth leadership team, developing a youth database, and so much more. John received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies from Rutgers University and he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary.
