Tonight, Melissa and I took a walk on Asbury West Avenue from one end of Ocean City to 34th street, where we stopped at Wawa and had a 10 p.m. coffee. Love that place, great conversation, and well worth the walk.

This is a design in my ongoing subseries of monograms designed for friends. This one is for Melissa, who had a major impact on my life. I think that it reflects her class, her style, her humor, and her beauty.
This is a drawing of clouds in the GIMP. I added layers for the sky and each set of clouds, added a simple cloud shape on the cloud layers, and gently increased the blur on each layer as it moved back in space, to create depth. A very simple, if effective technique.
