Using examples from Rider and other institutions, the audience will see how academics can use LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Ning in support of curricular, co-curricular, recruitment, publicity, and community outreach purposes. We will discuss why social networks exist as well as the pitfalls, benefits, and usage best practices.
