I don’t have a lot to say about this sketch’s message other than it’s true for me. I’ve had maybe 50 jobs in my life, and my own best advice I can give you is to find out what job is hell for you personally, and then move away from that job in your employment choices until you find the job that gives you personally definable joy. I’ve had jobs that made me feel worthless or directionless. I’ve had jobs that have made me cry at lunchtime. I’ve had jobs where I was closely scrutinized in order to emphasize and advertise my weaknesses. I’m not saying to seek out a job where there is no work to do, or a dream job of some sort (pro basketball player, stadium rocker, etc.) but rather a job that gives you a sense of daily efficacy, pays your bills and gives you enough extra money to save and entertain, and one that gives you spots of achievement and growth over time. I personally believe that kind of job is a beneficial balance of work and life, and certainly isn’t a definition of suffering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
