I was craving Broccoli in garlic sauce, and I didn&#8217;t want to spend the 10 bucks to get it. Plus, the nearest Chinese take-out place does not always take the most care in preparation. Their oils taste&#8230; a bit off. So I decided to find a recipe and use what I had in my fridge to get the job done. In short, it passed my best expectations.<\/p>\n<p>I looked up a few recipes for homemade garlic sauce, and they all had special ingredients that I tend not to keep on hand, like <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Peanut oil\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Peanut_oil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">peanut oil<\/a> and <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Corn starch\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Corn_starch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">corn starch<\/a>.
