Biography<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

John is a designer, technologist, instructional designer, consultant, open web advocate and open source<\/a> evangelist. He is most interested in helping people to use technology to make their lives, work, and world better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now in Nelson County, VA, John has lived and worked in Charlottesville, VA, and Princeton, NJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been offering consulting services for over 20 years with LeMasney Consulting. His skills include technology, design, communication, and branding. He serves academia, the enterprise, libraries, and consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was the Manager of Educational Technology Training and Outreach at Princeton University<\/a>. Before, he worked at Rider University<\/a> as the Manager of Technology Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was awarded a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership<\/a> with honors from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ (09). He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture. He graduated with honors from the University of the Arts<\/a> in Philadelphia, PA (98).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He taught in Rider University’s Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program. He also taught at Princeton Public Library, Princeton Adult School, Library Link NJ, and many other venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I teach about Google services, like Drive, Music, Chrome, Chrome OS\/Chromebooks, Android, YouTube and the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I talk about designing presentations, graphic design principles, making infographics, digital illustration, digital photography, and personal and organizational branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I talk about many open source products and services including WordPress, Drupal, Inkscape, Linux, GIMP, VLC, and more. I talk about popular web services and methods in social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to help people. I want to use my various skills, achievements, and passions in technology, arts, and speaking. I aim to apply my experience and ability in these areas to help people make their own happiness. I also want to enhance their productivity and best practices. I strive to support or improve my understanding of technology, balance, quiet, calm, and universal knowledge. To this end I support, to the best of my ability, clarity, transparency, communication, openness, open standards, open knowledge and education, and low thresholds of entry for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
