If you like (or have any other feelings about) what I’m doing with 365sketches and Inkscape, the free and open source illustration and vector design tool, you should know about a couple of things that have happened to share the work in person.

First, I showed and rotated my pieces at Princeton Public Library beginning June 21st, 2010 and through the summer. The opening was on the 21st, at 7 pm, in the community room.

Here is a video of the opening talk: http://365sketches.org/2010/07/03/365-sketches-project-introduction-video/

Second, I gave 4 free workshops on Inkscape, all independent of each other, and all different visual topics. In these, I explained how to get Inkscape, how to use it to make some of my most popular sketches, and the other tools I use to manage this project. The classes were on Mondays (7/12, 7/19, 7/26, and 8/2) at 7 pm, in 2010 and registration was free.

I continued to talk, show and do workshops in 2010 and 2011.

I spoke on the project to the Princeton PC User’s Group about the project. I talked about it to the Brookdale Computer User’s Group and gave a workshop on Inkscape to the Graphics Subgroup of BCUG.

I showed at the Lawrenceville Branch of the Mercer County Library system in 2011 preceded by an overview of the project and I showed at the Toms River branch of the Ocean County Library system in 2011.

I gave 6 workshops on the GIMP in June of 2011, preceded by a talk on the latest work in the project which fell on the series finale of the long running Tuesday Technology Talks at Princeton Public Library.
