Submissions

What Figlo Press is looking for:

We publish captivating stories that transcend time. We do not want short stories, short story collections or novellas. The average length of the novels we publish varies but is almost never less than 60,000 words.

How to submit:

Send us the complete manuscript with a cover letter. We also accept electronic submissions at: sandy@figlopress.com. Manuscripts must be letter-quality computer-generated. Clear photocopies are acceptable. The manuscript should be on 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper or a close equivalent, double-spaced, with at least 1″ wide margins all around. Kindly use only one side of the page, number your pages consecutively, and put the title of your novel at the top of each page if possible. Manuscripts should always be unbound.

Kindly type your name, address and phone number in the upper right hand corner of the first page of your manuscript. Right under this, kindly put the length of your manuscript in number of words.

Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your submission for our correspondence. We ask that you only send us disposable copies of your manuscript, which will be recycled in the event they are not found suitable for publication.

Send manuscripts to:

Additional information:

It may require up to three months or more for our editors to review a submission and come to a decision. If you want to be sure we have received your manuscript, kindly enclose a stamped, self-addressed postcard that we will return when your manuscript is logged in.

A literary agent is not required for submission.

No simultaneous submissions: we will not consider unsolicited manuscripts that are currently on submission to another publisher.

It is not necessary for you to register or copyright your work before publication-it is protected by law as long as it has not been published. When published, we will copyright the book in the author’s name and register that copyright with the Library of Congress.
